DPSRD PAYS WARM CALL TO PENSION TRANSITIONAL DEPT.
The Department of Public Service Reform and Development (DPSRD), Office of the Head of Service, led by the Administrative Secretary, Mr. Oluwagbenga Akingbasote, on Monday, 2nd Nov. 2020 paid an unsolicited visit to the Pension Transitional Dept, Okeeda, Akure.
On ground to receive the Reform team were the management and staff of the Pension office, led by the Administrative Secretary, Chief Dele Akinmoye.
The major crux of the call are as summarised below:
* to sympathise with affected MDAs on the recent fire inferno that affected some Okeeda offices;
* to welcome the new Headship and the newly deployed staffs of the Pension Transitional Dept;
* to highlight activities of DPSRD, as part of its advocacy mandate – Change Ambassadorship, ODSIP Handbook, Newsletter, mandatory returns on MDA reforms, ongoing home-grown HRM package, etc;
* to point out the already existing collaboration between the two offices, both under the amiable Head of Service, Mr. Dare Aragbaiye, that oversaw the improvement in the processing of retirement benefits;
* to consolidate on the achievements and widen the net to cover TESCOM and SUBEB, so as to eradicate racketeering, delays, bribery etc;
* to remind the Pension office of the next steps forward, including computerisation & digitization, to ensure smooth transition from active service to retirement in the shortest possible time.
ODSIP Souvenirs were thereafter presented to the new Headship and some staff of the Pension Transitional Dept, in appreciation of the work being done and to spur them to continue to do more.
On his part, Chief Dele Akinmoye thanked Mr. Oluwagbenga Akingbasote and his team for the honour. He appreciated them for the good work he met on ground and assured that his period in the Office would witness more Reforms, in line with the vision of the Head of Service and Mr. Governor.
