Chief Segun Odusanya was born on 6th February 1967 into the family of Venerable and Mrs. Emmanuel Odusanya (both of blessed memory).  For his Primary and Secondary Education, he attended St. Peter’s Primary School Ile-Oluji and Gboluji Anglican Grammar School between 1972 and 1983.

In Continuation of his Education, he attended Obafemi Awolowo University (then University of Ife) from where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture (B. Agric.) in 1989.  He returned to the same prestigious institution for his Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies (P.G.D.M.S.) which he obtained in 1992.  In furtherance to his quest for more knowledge, he gained admission to the University of Ado-Ekiti in 1998 to pursue his Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) which he obtained in year 2000.

Chief Odusanya joined the Ondo State Public Service in September, 1995 and had served in various Ministries and Agencies until his appointment as a Permanent Secretary in year 2019.  He served at various times as Permanent Secretary in Min. of Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Ondo State Civil Service Commission, Min. of Transport and Min. of Agric. and Forestry, where he was elected as the Chairman, Permanent Secretary’s Forum. He is currently the Head of Service  of Ondo State.

Chief Segun Odusanya attended many Local and international courses, amongst which were, Managing People through Changes (Attitudes and Behaviour), under the auspices of Royal Institute of Public Administration (RIPA) in London in June 2010; Leading Across Boarders and Generation in Barcelona, Spain in 2014, and many others.

Sir (Chief) Segun Odusanya is an active member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Idi-Aagba Titun, Akure.  He is a member of the Parish Church Council of the Church, the Assistant Lay Secretary of Akure Diocese, the Patron of the Church Choir and the Boys Brigade, as well as the President of YMCA St. Luke’s Church Unit, Akure.

He is a recipient of many awards both within the church and other external organization.

Chief Odusanya belongs to many professional bodies and is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (FCIPM); Chattered Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (FCIPAN) and fellow Chattered Institute of Local Government Administration (FCLA)

Sir (Chief) Segun Odusanya is at present the Asiwaju Ijo of St. Luke’s (Ang.) Church Idiaagba Titun, Akure, Majekobaje of Irele Ese-odo Anglican Diocese and Knight of St. Christopher (KSC) Irele Ese-Odo Anglican Diocese.  He once served as the President, Ondo State Senior Civil Service Club between 2007 – 2011.

Sir (Chief) Segun Odusanya is happily married to Lady Oluwatoyin Odusanya and is blessed with three (3) God fearing children, Oluwadamilola, Oluwafolajimi and Oluwatosin.
